Reputasyon

Nope I'm not promoting a teleserye in a rival tv station. The title could have been "Disturbia" or "One Less Lonely (Crazy) Girl" but I feared the backlash from dotcomers who are part time Justin Beiber fans.

But the drama did peak in this episode. For me, it was the longest Day 1 for any season of survivor (local or US version) and probably the longest day for KC too. We'll get back to this heart breaking and for some, nose-bleeding or even mental draining drama later.

It was a very cold night for the rest of the castaways. The first night was an "initiation" of sorts for CAs as they unfortunately get a "rude awakening" of how bad it is in the island. It almost always rains in the first night and other conditions make it difficult to get some decent sleep. But this could be a good experience for the CAs since they will strive to improve their shelter and camp conditions.

But before things got colder, John was getting warm with the girls because he was revealed to be a "lady's man". Then, Bulan BFFs Aifha and Alyssa reached a boiling point during their bonfire session. It felt like things were falling apart for a tribe that looked strong judging by the individual players they had. It was a normal argument by BFF standards and hopefully they would kiss and make up.

Unfortunately, Alyssa had other things to worry about besides the cold shoulder treatment she felt she was getting from Aifha. She was shivering cold the whole night and tried moving from the bonfire to the shelter and back to the bonfire just to find some sort of warmth. Some of the guys offered "free hugs" but the poor girl wasn't sold to the idea. I was amused that Stef rose to the occasion to offer some body warmth but inadvertently embraced Alyssa's butt. In defense to Steff, it would be difficult to distinguish Alyssa's rear and front when she is all covered up from head to toe. Ok, I shouldn't explain further unless I get into more trouble.

It wasn't much fun for Tala since they still didn't have fire to begin with. But unlike Bulan, there was no heavy drama to speak off. They looked to be the more cohesive tribe and they were actually planning for the upcoming challenge looking for strength and weaknesses in each one. Now if they can only take advantage of Isabel's singing and dancing talents. That's Entertainment didn't really prepare Chuckie and Isabel for island life so we can let this pass.

Morning of Day 2 showed a lot of promise for the CAs to get another fresh start in camp life. Hopefully, the upcoming challenge will provide the much needed flint for tribes to secure their camp fires.

Ellen looks to be the sleeping princess for this season. I don't think she minds it as long as Filo is the prince charming to wake her up.

Its as if we hadn't seen enough already, yes, they were still filming Geneva. To put emphasis: "OMG! No one's protecting her. They are still filming her." It appeared that the production staff had its small camp in the island. This allowed Geneva to continue to cry some more out of view of her tribemates but recorded for the rest of the viewers to see. Sure, some of us had to painfully watch over and over again the same complaints she had in yesterday's epi but we were warned earlier by teasers to expect this.

Finally, Doc Ali carefully positioning herself as she observes Geneva from a distance. I think this is SOP for observing patients outside the confines of the doctor's office and in the absence of a lying couch. Well, doc did try her best but I guess more sessions are needed once they get back in Manila. A lot has been said about Geneva considering it was still early in the game but hopefully she got the proper medical treatment and lots of continuous and outpouring love from family and friends. So ends Geneva's journey in SPCDE. As crazy as it was for her during her stay, we hope she doesn't hate SP. Geneva, please don't ever want to hate SP.

But hold on, where's the boat? I feel that KC, Doc Ali, and the rest of the production crew were also asking the same question for the past hours that Geneva was having her outbursts. If the boat is unavailable get the sea plane. ASAP.

KC knows he's on his own but I guess he will get a lot of sympathy votes from his tribemates. He did bring fire and can still be the silent leader when he gets back to camp. Being without a partner could be a good thing since he is less of a threat and could even be a "free agent" for any pair who wishes to have an alliance with him. He doesn't have to look out for someone and lose focus on the game. Sure it would be harder to build a relationship with strangers but he was already struggling with the partner that he had. As mentioned in the last post, he would have literally and figuratively carried Geneva through out the game.

Finally lets review the reputations earned and "tarnished" so far. Geneva, well lets leave the public to decide but hopefully she is doing better. John is a lady's man. Aifa and Alyssa are not the best of friends. Ellen will be the "sleeper" this season. KC has "One Less Lonely(Crazy) Girl" to worry about. Maey has a sweet tooth on sugar cane. Steff gives the best "free hugs". Isabel was labeled "mataray". Chuckie is "I don't care if I don't please everyone. This is me." Betong is well, still needs to earn the reputation of having a good english slang.

I guess there are so much more reputations to be earned and tarnished since its just Day 2. Finally! A challenge in the next episode. But if you think the drama is over, wait for tribal council.
