All the twists shown during the weekend teasers have now been revealed in this episode. Like the Bakunawa, a mythical serpent that ate moons, a cobra bite has caused the lost of another Bulan member by medical evacuation. The introduction of new SP accessories in the form of anting-antings. Lastly the much awaited tribal shuffle which was earlier mistaken as a merge.
But thats going way ahead of the episode. Last night, Carlo was offered to give up joining the barbeque feast of his tribe in exchange for...wait for it...not just one but two anting-antings (black and white), which is the local version of an enchanted medallion. Like the famous heirloom of the Revilla clan, Richard said that by possessing the anting-antings, one will be given great powers over the game. So what advantage does these trinkets hold compared to well lets say...an immunity bracelet?
Super human strength to roll over balls on top of your opponent? Invulnerability to withstand paddle swings on your body? Immunity from snake's venom? Mind reading skills to avoid being fooled around? Ability to speak straight english? Or incredible endurance from pacing back and forth while explaining challenges? Well, it so happens that the anting-antings are just updated versions of the black and white pearls in season 1. One can add a vote the other can take away a vote during tribal council. You can also bring it to the merge and they look cool around your neck.
Seing a good bargain, Carlo didn't even hesitate to get the anting-antings for the benefit of the group. Good to see Richard has improved his market savvy skills. There goes another satisfied customer or castaway that is. Carlo then informed his tribe of the deal he just sealed with Richard.
The rest of Tala got to go to the secluded waterfalls and barbeque party. Betong looked like a barbeque addict. Maey had a small crush on Arthur...enter slow mo dreamy segment of Arthur. Could island romance blossom with these two? Not sure, but it was nice to see Maey getting some distraction from the hardships of the game. Tala had so much fun they even got to continue their "picture, picture" posing activity.
Bulan decided to have a barbeque of their own with one of their egg laying chickens. Stef wasn't up to the task but decided to join the group.
Tala got back to camp and Carlo was happy to show the bonfire that he set up. At campfire time, Betong and Maey offered to be the next pair to be voted out if they lose the immunity challenge. But their tribemates had none of it saying they are the strong six when the merge comes.
Probably the most unfortunate medical evacuation of the show, Stef had to be transported to Manila because of a possible Philippine Cobra bite on her ankle. See, the production team was prepared. They even got a local ambulance, the local clinic, and the chartered plane when Stef needed to be in a more suitable medical facility. CAs may not be pampered and had no one to shoo away snakes, but there was a "zero casualty" system implemented by the crew. Though she was already in a stable condition, it wasn't sure if Stef would get back in the game.
In the latest twist of the game, tribes dropped their buffs and a tribal shuffle ensued. KC, Gino, and John got to stay in Bulan along with new recruits Arthur, Betong, and Isabel. John wasn't happy being in Tala and wasn't thrilled that they were mostly girls with Maey, Mara, and possibly Steff getting back. But he is flanked with Carlo and Chuckie.
KC was quick to notice the "man love" of the Volcanoes as they parted ways. Lets face it guys, we've been waiting for the "Aimishu" moment since Season 1. Will the bromance be ever reunited and rekindled. Most of us hope so.
Quoting KC, the game got more dangerous and other "snakes", the human kind that is, are gonna bite you when you least expect it. Would the tribemates get along in order to survive or will old tribal lines remain strong? Hopefully we get to see some good blindsides and some strategic voting in the next tribal councils. Some hope Mara has the same game as her mom. Can Carlo and Arthur compete against each other? Lots of questions and things to look forward to and its just Tuesday. :)

stef gets bitten by a snake but still want to stay in the game. jackie and miss helicopter..imean angelicopter trekked for 25 minutes to the challenge area and quit.
Stef is awesome, isn't she?! And I like the way she speaks her mind, not goody-goody plastic-ky type that most artistas are in front of the camera. Are we seeing another Solenn this season? Hmm Too bad she's in Tala now which I think is the weaker group (for now) and she might get voted out sooner. *sigh*
Mara - I've got to see more of her, she has become blah since Maribel left and too defensive? Let's see how she'll play it
Carlo - I hope he uses the antings well. I'm not really sure who came up with their 'strategy' during the last TC. I've got a big hunch it's not him (because he's too emotional, perhaps?)
The Volcanoes - The SP team probably realized that it's gonna be super easy for Bulan to win the challenges (unless of course it's all eating cow's balls!). Let's accept the fact that physical strength is a big factor in winning the challenges so as long as these two are in one tribe, they'll eat Tala alive (Chuckie, Carlo? hahaha)
Arnold is the MVP and probably the stronger of the two. Gino says Johnny is 'sunud-sunuran' to Arnold. What's the bromance gonna do now?
There's only one IB left and that's with Arnold/John. It's safe to say that the Bulan alliance is dominant at this point.

john and arnold's IB got lost on the shore when they were looking for food. it was arnold who lost it causing john to be really upset. but the other castaways are not aware of it. hence, it could still work to their advantage until the others realize that the pair dont have it anymore.

kung mangyayari yan di ba mas kahiya-hiyang lalabas yang si Carlo because no matter how much they hated maribel, still she did not deliberatel cause Tala's last two losses. in fairness ibinigay naman nya talaga ung effort. so sa mga fans ng Tala na naghahangad ng ganito, nakakahiya naman kayo. it only shows how fickle-minded you are. so pag bets nyo gumawa tama yan? same with Bulan fans who wish na sana daw magpatalo sila KC, Gino and John para ma-vote out sila isabel. sheesh, nakakahiya naman ang mentalidad nyo. sa akin di naman fair na magbenta ng laro dahil mas nakakababa ng pagtingin yan. till the end at least mama bel showed na hindi sya ganun kababa.
and ung nagre-rejoice na may anting-anting si carlo. di ba sinabi ni richard na hindi nya yan pwede gamitin sa sarili nya. so kung halimbawa magsolid vote sila stef, mara and arnold against him at si maey, carlo and chuckie ay magkakaiba ng ivo-vote out, di nya maise-save ang sarili nya kung hihintayin nyang sa merge gamitin yun. when that happens, mawawala bisa ng anting-anting na yun

kawawa naman si arnold kasi now he has to work doubly hard para manalo ung tribe at di sya mavote out agad at si mara. isa pa si chuckie lang ang nag-iisa pang lalaking team mate nya pero di pa ganong malakas and asa din lang sa team mates. the four ladies, well, mara, stef and maey may pull suprises pero ung pinakamalaking girl ay ang lampa at ampaw na ang tanging power ay ung anting-anting nya.... di ba CARLA? hahahaha
dont know pero baka paninira lang yan nung mga masama ang loob kasi nautakan ni Carlo si Maribel....hehehe...peace....

naman arvin, mas mautak pa din si maribel no. her mind games resulted to the quitting of 4 losers, then before she left na-flush out nya yung IB nila isabel and chuckie. besides di naman nya pinangarap maging sole survivor di ba? besides trust is something na nawawala pag game na. yes vinote out pa dn nya si chuckie, but then isabel also voted her out despite promising na hindi sya (maribel) ang iboboto nya. also in one of her tweets, si isabel mismo nagsabi that trust should not be given easily. so malamang may pinagkatiwalaan sya sa Tala na in the end ay bumaligtad sa alliance nila. same with john and arnie na i read somewhere na nagkaroon ng rift on the island.
sabi mo nga this is just a game but i hope when things don't go well on your fave CA/Tribe u won't get too emotional, whine and cry foul again. :)

ok lang arvin.... kasi sabi nga ng psych prof ko, pag sarado na isip ng isang tao, maigsi o mahaba ang explanation mo sa kanya di na nya kayang intindihin kasi ayaw na paganahin ang holistic reasoning kaya kung ano lang ung paniwala nila, whether right or wrong, yun na.

wag naman po ganun. i'm pro-original Bulan din but i have to admit marunong din maglaro ang Tala. in fact, i think one or perhaps two of them will make it to top 3. (wag lang all Tala because of the anting-anting) and sana lang wag laglag yung game nila just to ensure na pasok whole Tala sa merge like what carlo, betong and isabel are planning to. play fair guys and give the viewers the best that survivor has to offer.
back to doing assignment mode. lol. sobrang adik na ko sa surv pag may break sa classes blog agad. hahaha. ty admins for this page.

the game is not really about winning the challenges. it's about surviving ang voting out those you perceive as a threat. and that may mean losing a game in order to oust even a tribe member.
